"Ali's Barber Shop" is a place run by a 3rd generation barber Ali Sayan in the heart                                    of Dublin's city centre. The shop has been up and running for over 5 years. It is situated                            right opposite the Carmelite Church and next to to the bus stop of routes 84, 16, 65                            and others. Aungier Street is easily found if you start in Dame Street and then walk all                            the way up South George's Street, then continue onwards, the shop will be on your left.                        Our neighbours are the Green Art florists and the Staircase Accommodation place.

 

 

Ali comes from Ankara, Turkey, where he was born and trained at his father's barber shop, which earlier belonged to his father's uncle, also barber. All in all, there are 5 barbers in Ali's family, most recently his nephew. Ali later went on to have his own barber shop before moving to Ireland in 2000. He first worked for in Portlaoise at Bankz Hair Group. After working in Athlone (Kozzy's Barber Shop) and Blanchardstown, Dublin West (Rosso Barber Shop), Ali finally started his own place in the convenient city centre - Ali's Turkish Barber Shop at 20A Aungier Street. His brother Fatih Sayan followed him to Ireland and is now the Turkish barber in Edenderry, Co. Offaly.  

 

 

Our barber shop offers the full set of men's grooming services: hair cutting and styling,                             style and hair health consultations, hot towel shaves (our speciality, this half an hour                                 treatment includes ear hair singeing and head massage), hair colouring, head shave and                     trims. We also store quality grooming products, barber supplies, gift packs and gift vouchers.                                                                                                                                                                             No appointments are necessary, walk-ins are welcome, however we advise to telephone to get                 updated if it is busy.
